Sometimes we wonder what it would be like if Willy Wonka’s factory was a burrito factory. Would the river be queso instead of chocolate?
Luckily, you don’t need a golden ticket to get a peek inside of this factory. Situated right on Front Beach where you can still hear the sounds of the Gulf, Diego’s Burrito Factory is, you guessed it, serving up some massive burritos.
Wondering what’s on the inside? Only the best ingredients. You can “fill it” with everything from chicken and steak to carnitas and al pastor — you have to try the al pastor for a truly authentic experience. Make sure to load your creation with as much rice, beans and veggies as you want!
The sign outside might say “burrito,” but Diego’s certainly doesn’t stop there. Whether you are in the mood for nachos piled high or authentic Mexican street tacos, this factory is truly what you want it to be. The Mexican street tacos come out featuring the classic onions, cilantro and lime, but feel free to add your own spin on the original.
If you think Diego’s Burrito Factory isn’t taking advantage of the Gulf seafood, you’re mistaken. The Baja Grilled Tacos, a favorite among the locals, features fresh grilled mahi-mahi or shrimp — when in Rome, right?
Looking for a little crunch? Diego’s has homemade chips with guacamole, queso and different kinds of salsa. And if you can’t imagine your chips and salsa without a margarita, Diego’s margarita bar has top-shelf tequilas to help take the edge off on a warm Panama City Beach day.
Roll up your sleeves and get lost in burrito bliss.
